Another Winning Weekend On The Way

Going For 4th Straight 100-Unit College Winner Saturday, and First 100-Unit NFL Play Wins Sunday
Nationally Televised SEC Battle - Florida At Alabama Highlights 3-0 Best Bets Club Card Saturday - Just $25

By Kelso Sturgeon

I kicked off this week in winning fashion with 15-unit cover with 18th-rank Kansas State (+7.5) in its 20-14 home loss to 5th-ranked Auburn and then messed things up by releasing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+6) as a 50-unit play over the host Atlanta Falcons. I still don’t know what happened but after being down 35-0 at the half and 56-0 at the end of three, it did not matter. Only the NFL should be more embarrassed than I.

But let’s move on to a college Saturday loaded with at least a dozen opportunities to win - and an NFL Sunday just waiting to be crushed.

My top play on Saturday will be another Personal Best Football Investment Club 100-unit winner and I must note I am an undefeated 3-0 in these plays this season (see record below). For the record I am more confident this game will cover than any of the first three. A 50-point win is not out of the question.
When I say the college world offers at least a dozen opportunities to score, I meant just that. No criticism of bookmakers meant, but these gentlemen on the other side of the counter hung up a stream of very soft numbers - and I know I am right about this.

As for Sunday, when I go for broke with my first 100-unit NFL play of the season we all need to shift gears into “situation” handicapping which will rule the day in a league where bizarre outcomes seem to be in vogue in a big way. Let there be a few more games like the Thursday night 56-14 blowout by the Atlanta Falcons and the NFL won’t have to battle all the outside issues to save the league. Quality of play will take care of that.

Big College Line Moves

Indiana vs. Missouri - Missouri (3-0) opened -17 but Indiana (1-1) money dropped price to -13.5.
Toledo vs. Ball State - Toledo (1-2) opened -9.5 and the money poured on the Rockets, driving the number to -14 over Ball State.
Michigan vs. Utah - Michigan opened as a 6.5-point favorite over Utah but money on the Utes has dropped that number to -3.5.
Wisconsin vs. Bowling Green - The host Badgers (1-1) opened -22 and have been bet out to -27 over BG (2-1).
Memphis vs. Middle Tennessee State - Memphis (1-1) opened -7.5 and is now a -12 over MTSU (2-1).
Oklahoma vs. West Virginia - Oklahoma (3-0) opened -11 over host West Virginia but money on the Mountaineers (2-1) drove that number down to its current -7.5.

AAC Battle Royale - Connecticut at USF (ESPN 8 :00 ET)

South Florida (1-2) and Connecticut (1-2) open their American Athletic Conference seasons tonight in Tampa and it is important for both to win and stay close in the standings with the likes of Cincinnati, East Carolina, Houston and Central Florida. My figures suggest these teams are better than their records and I do expect them to fire their best shot tonight. To me it all boils down to which team has the most gas left in its tanks after a pair of heavy-duty starts. UConn opened the season at home with a 35-10 loss to BYU, then beat a good Stony Brook team, 19-16, and last week lost to Boise State 38-21 in a game much closer than the final score reveals. As for South Florida, the Bulls opened the season at home with a 36-31 win over Western Carolina and then lost to Maryland, 24-17, and last week to N.C. State, 49-17. I have carefully broken down this game and I KNOW which team has enough gas in the tank to win and you can get this 25-unit Chairman’s Club play for just $25.

Another 50-Unit College Game Of Week Goes In The Win Column Saturday

My Chairman’s Club won its 50-unit College Game of the Week last Saturday with Northern Illinois (-9.5) over UNLV, 48-34, and I am coming right back with another one today. The betting line on the team I am releasing is quite modest and my figures say it will win by at least two touchdowns above the spread. Win this one for just $50

Florida at Alabama! SEC Grudge Game Highlights 3-0 Day

My Best Bets Football Investment Club focus last week was on the SEC showdown between Georgia and South Carolina - and I am pleased to report my 15-unit play on the underdog Gamecocks won straight up, 38-35. It’s right back to the SEC today for my top Best Bets Club play, this time on the nationally televised (ABC) Florida (2-0) at Alabama (3-0) matchup. The situation under which this game is being played should make it quite interesting. First of all, Florida coach Will Muschamp is fighting to save his job, and then there is the fact Alabama coach Nick Saban is thoroughly pissed off with how his team has played thus far this season. It all translates into a real battle. Alabama, which has beaten Florida by an average of 24 points in their last three meetings, is a 14.5 point favorite. ready for this one. You can get my 15-unit play on Florida and Alabama, plus two other unit-rated games, for just $25

About The Colleges - Some Things To Think About When Handicapping Saturday’s Games

  • Does any college team have a tough schedule over the next five weeks than Florida? The Gators are at 2nd-ranked Alabama Saturday, at unranked Tennessee in two weeks, at home against 8th-ranked LSU and then for homecoming against 18th-ranked Missouri.
  • Hawaii is at Colorado this week and if history means anything the Warriors are destined for defeat. Hawaii went 0-12 in its road games the past two seasons. The cover is another matter. Hawaii went 6-6 ATS on the road in those 12 contests. Maybe a money-line bet on Colorado is in order?
  • Idaho is a 14-point underdog at Ohio and rightfully so. The Vandals have not won a road game since the 9th game of the 2011 season and stand 0-16 on the road in their last 16 away games. Idaho is 6-16 ATS on the road the past two seasons and has covered in a road game this season, covering as a 12-point underdog in a 38-31 loss at LA-Monroe.
  • Indiana, one of the worst road teams in any of the six former BCS conference, is a 13.5-point underdog at Missouri. The Hoosiers lost their first road game of the season, as they were beaten as an 8.5-point favorite at Bowling Green, 45-42. This means that over the past six-plus seasons the Hoosiers stand 5-28 on the road.
  • Miami-OH takes a 19-game losing streak into Cincinnati Saturday but it is of note the RedHawks, 28-point underdogs, have covered in all three games this season, against Marshall 42-27, against I-AA power Eastern Kentucky in a 17-10 loss, and then at Michigan last week as a 32.5-point underdog in 24-10 loss. This is just something to think about.
  • North Carolina, a 3-point underdog at East Carolina, is 5-1 SU and ATS in its last six games against Pirates. The last East Carolina win came when the Pirates scored a 34-31 win over NC as a 5.5-point favorite.
  • Northern Illinois, a 2-point underdog at Arkansas is 3-0 SU and ATS this season, goes for its 3rd straight road win in this one. In its last two games, the Huskies won at Northwestern 23-15 as a 7-point underdog and at UNLV 48-34 as a 9.5-point favorite.
  • Oregon, a 23-point favorite at Washington State, is 0-4 against the number in its last four meetings with the Cougars.
  • SMU has been outscored by an 88-6 margin in its first two games, losing at Baylor, 45-0, and at North Texas, 43-6, and is a 33.5-point home underdog against Texas A&M today and, yes, I would lay the number, if I were betting the game, which I am not.
  • UNLV, a 21-point underdog at Houston, did go 3-3 on the road last season but it is worth noting the Rebels stand 7-56 SU in away games over the past 10-plus seasons.

I am releasing my first 100-Unit play of the young NFL season today, on a team that is a modest favorite yet one that grades out with a 90% chance to win. It does not get better than this in the NFL and I assure you this is an opportunity you do not want to miss. Best Bets Club Goes For Third Straight Winning NFL Weekend

My Best Bets Football Investment Club is off to a 4-2 start in the NFL and is going for a 3-0 sweep today with the highlight of it all being a 15-unit play on the showdown game that finds the Denver Broncos (2-0) at the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks (1-1). To say this is the grudge game of the day is a classic understatement. Feelings run deep after Seattle crushed Denver 43-8 in last season’s Super Bowl and the bad blood has prevailed ever since. Win this 15-unit play, plus two additional 10-unit games, for just $25.

50-Unit NFL Parlay Plus Sunday Night - Steelers at Panthers

The NFL has been somewhat baffling in the first two weeks of play but I have figured out the new puzzle and my Chairman’s Football Investment Club is going for broke today with a 50-unit 2-team parlay, plus a bonus play on the nationally televised (NBC) showdown between the Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1) and the Carolina Panthers (2-0). The parlay will be made up of two 20 unit plays and a 10-unit parlay and you can get it, plus the Sunday night game, for just $50. Click here.

25-Unit Monday Night Winner Closes Out Week - Bears at Jets

This is a challenging Monday Night game to handicap because of the inconsistency of both teams. How challenging? The Bears opened the season at Buffalo as a 6.5-point favorite and lost 23-20 and then came back last week to score three 4th quarter touchdowns to win at San Francisco, 28-20, as a 7-point dog. Go figure. Then there is the case of the Jets, who opened the season with an 18-14 win over Oakland and came back last week to take it to the Green Bay Packers, opening up a 14-3 first quarter lead only to lose 31-24. I have read between the lines on this one and am confident I will win a 25-unit play - a winner you can get for just $25.
