Kelso's Advanced Sports Betting: College Research Weekend

Kelso's Advanced Sports Betting: College Research Weekend

I've heard a lot of people here in Las Vegas and on the national networks complaining about the lack of big college games on TV this weekend. I want to alert you now that such talk usually means some big surprises are in store. That can mean that the handful of "good" games turn out to be blowouts...or that some of the "off the radar" games turn out to be classics.

I'm not going to get any more specific than that because I have to protect my picks for my clients. What I want to emphasize to you today in my College of Advanced Sports Betting and Handicapping is that you shouldn't be worrying about entertainment, you should be worrying about winning! The Saturday schedule is actually very well structured for you to firm up your research on PLAYMAKERS and GAMEBREAKERS in college football. Do that...and you will cash countless winning tickets in the following weeks.

Think about what we have before us...

  • A lot of games that are projected to be blowouts
  • Offenses that have had a few weeks to get their timing and rhythm down
  • Motivation to put games away early to rest up for next week

That means offenses will be ATTACKING aggressively with their BEST PLAYERS! If you knew NOTHING about who the major PLAYMAKERS and GAMEBREAKERS were in college football a week ago, you can get up to speed extremely quickly thanks to Saturday's matchups. Any of you who only recently found out about my College of Advanced Sports Betting and Handicapping articles missed our summer preparation...but can make up for that in the next 48 hours.

All you have to do is study every boxscore for:

  • Quarterback production in the air
  • Quarterback "bonus" production on the ground for QB's who can run
  • Who was scoring touchdowns, particularly in the first half
  • Who was catching the most passes
  • Who was running the ball most often

Remember...offenses are in rhythm now, and many are facing overmatched defenses. Who's going to shine? PLAYMAKERS AND GAMEBREAKERS! That's who's going to be getting the ball. That's who's going to be celebrating in the end zone. That's who's going to be starring in the network highlight reels that will be running through the day.

Have paper and pencil ready and take notes all day. You should have a very solid list of the highest impact players in college football by the end of play late Saturday Night.

But...don't stop there. It's easy to develop a blind spot by only looking at what's happening. Be sure you're aware of what ISN'T happening as well. That's helped me a lot already this season by noting which college favorites are having trouble even scoring the pointspread when they're laying a lot of points.

Among the double digit favorites this week, note:

  • Which teams AREN'T getting much from their quarterback
  • Which teams DON'T have receivers who can make big plays or find the end zone
  • Which teams CAN'T run the ball consistently even against weaker opposition

I can assure you that you will find multiple opportunities for big bets as soon as next week by having a meaningful list of producers and non-producers at your fingertips. Those of you who did a lot of work this summer can fine-tune your already informative notes. Everyone else can get up to speed.

Maybe it is going to be a boring week of college football. Stop being a fan and start being a winning sports bettor! What you learn in the next 24 hours is going to make you rich between now and the marquee bowl games. Winning big money week after week is never boring.

You regulars know I have a knack for finding big favorites who are about to take an opponent to the woodshed and inflict a major beating on them. That means this weekend is right in my wheelhouse. If you'd like some help with your personal handicapping in both college and pro action, you can purchase my top plays here at this very website with your major credit card. Or, call the office at 1-800-755-2255 and tell them you want Kelso's plays. They'll be happy to get you set up.

I'll be back again early next week with more football, as I continue to read and react to developments in both college and pro football in a way that expands the coursework. The Dean of Sports Handicapping appreciates how hard all of you have been working, and welcomes all of you newcomers who have just joined us recently. This is probably a good time to remind you to print out all of these reports so you can create a virtual textbook you can use year-round in the future. Always learning, always winning!
