College basketball heads for its national championship round with four outstanding teams still in the big dance and with the Duke the 2-1 favorite to win it all and with the winner of the Final Four showdown between the Blue Devils and West Virginia even money to take home the NCAA title.

When the NCAA Final Four is played this Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Duke (33-5) will take the floor as a 2.5-point favorite over West Virginia (31-6) and Butler (32-4) a team whose campus is within walking distance of the playing floor, will be a 1-point choice over Michigan State (28-8).

The total in the Duke-WVU game is 131, while it is 126 in the Butler-Michigan State contest. If you are a money-line player, you will have to lay $147 to win $100 on Duke, but can get $137 for every $100 wagered on underdog West Virginia. In the other game, Butler is +118 and Michigan State -108. Without making any special recommendation, if you like West Virginia to win outright you will be getting the bargain of the entire tournament.

Before the NCAA championship will be decided, the NIT heads for the money Tuesday night with its semifinal round from Madison Square Garden in New York City. The winners of the Dayton (23-12)-Ole Miss (24-10) game will meet the winner of the North Carolina (19-16)-Rhode Island (26-9) showdown Thursday night for the tournament championship.

Bookmakers report steady betting action on the Dayton-Mississippi match up, with the money going on the Flyers. Ole Miss opened as a 2.0-point favorite in this one, fell to -1.5, then to -1.0 and is now a pick'em. The Rhode Island-North Carolina matchup opened as a pick'em affair and has stayed there.

I will be releasing one of these games as my 50-unit NIT Game of the Year. It will be available on this site and toll free at 1-800-755-2255 at mid-day Tuesday.

25-Unit NBA Game Of Week Tops Tonight's Action

The championship round of the College Basketball Invitational Tournament begins tonight when Saint Louis (23-11) squares off at Virginia Commonwealth (25-9) in the first game of a best-of-3 series to determine the title. The next two games will be played at Saint Louis.

VCU, which is 15-0 on its home court this season, is a solid 10-point favorite over a defensive-minded Saint Louis team that gives up but 59.7 points per game and which has won its last four road games.

I am releasing this game as a 10-unit play and it is available on this site and at the toll free number listed above.

In the NBA tonight, there are but five games on the board but one of them qualifies as my 25-Unit NBA Game of the Week and I am looking for a rather easy win in this game. This game is also available now on this site and at the toll free number listed above.

Of possibly interest to NBA bettors tonight are these handicapping facts:

  • Dallas is a 5.0-point home favorite over Denver tonight with the second seed in the NBA Western Conference on the line. Neither team is playing very well right now. Dallas3-4 in its last seven games and Denver is but 1-4 in its last five.
  • Charlotte is an 8.5 or 9.0-point favorite (the number depends on where you bet) over the Toronto Raptors in a game that matches the seventh and eighth place teams in the NBA Eastern Conference potential playoff package. Charlotte is 3-0 in its last three games while Toronto is 0-3 in its last three outings.
  • The Los Angeles Lakers are 5.5-point favorites at New Orleans tonight and will be going for their ninth win in their last 10 games and need just four more wins to take home court advantage throughout the Western Conference playoffs. New Orleans is just 2-8 in its last 10 games, has lost its last two and its last five losses have been by an average of 13.4 points.
  • San Antonio is a 7.5-point favorite at New Jersey and will be looking for its 16th straight win over the Nets. After beating Cleveland in San Antonio and winning at Boston in blowout fashion yesterday, 93-74, the Spurs obviously are playing at the top of them game. As for New Jersey, there is no top.
  • The Utah Jazz are solid 11.0-point home favorites over the New York Knicks and are a team that is 29-9 in its last 38 games and 17-2 in its last 19 home games. The Jazz have won seven straight at home and have done it by an average of 18.8 points per game.

Big News-Yankees Favored To Win It All Again

It is almost a forgone conclusion each season that the high-priced and thus high-powered New York Yankees will win the World Series. While they did do that last year in whipping the Philadelphia Phillies, it was their first step into the winner's circle in quite some time.

Regardless the Yankees will open the season this Sunday against their arch-rival, the Boston Red Sox, as the 3-1 favorites to win it all, followed by those same Red Sox at 6-1, who share that same number with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Opening day pitcher for the Yankees will be lefty C.C. Sabathia (19-8, 3.62 last year) while right-hander Josh Beckett (17-6, 3.86) will go for Boston.

A full schedule of games follow on Monday.

I had an outstanding baseball season last year and intend to have another one this time around. You can get the entire baseball season in a package for a price that is so low you won't believe it. Sign up now on this site or toll free at 1-800-755-2255 and get ready to go for the money.

The price definitely is right and I do accept all major credit cards.
