Any Cinderella Stories Left?

Wayne Allyn Root: Any Cinderella Stories Left?

I've been listening very closely to all the TV pundits this week. It's funny how they'll do whatever it takes to AVOID taking a Cinderella team while they emphasize the greatness of the top seeds. Have they forgotten that last year's Final Four featured seeds #3, #4, #8, and #11?

Yes, Kentucky looked great last week. Yes, Syracuse looked like they got everyone back on the same page in their win over Kansas State. Yes, Ohio State looks unbeatable when everything is clicking. Yes, Tom Izzo has always had a knack for reaching the Final Four even with Michigan State teams who aren't as good as this one.

The closest thing to a Cinderella pick is North Carolina! They're a #1 seed, but a very unfortunate injury to their point guard has made the Tar Heels a longshot in the minds of the media. That's their darkhorse. That's their Cinderella story. The same team they had been picking before the injury!

Look, I'm THE KING OF UPSETS and THE KING OF LAS VEGAS because I've learned to recognize when surprises are most likely to happen. I believe we have at least one Cinderella story that's yet to unfold (because at least one team that had been expected to win earlier has now reached the point in the brackets where they're expected to lose). And, there may be another brewing with a double digit seed like North Carolina State, Xavier, or even Ohio shocking the nation and matching VCU's run to the Final Four last year.

This is the point last year where top seeded Duke was supposedly unstoppable, only to find out that Arizona's athleticism was much superior. You want to tell me that none of the current #1's are capable of being surprised? The guys in suits on TV telling you this year's favorites are on a collision course for the Final Four are the same guys who were raving about Duke last year. And Ohio State. Remember how Kansas supposedly had a gift draw for reaching the Final Four before they lost to VCU?

If TV pundits had to make a living in Las Vegas, they'd go broke. I not only make my living in Las Vegas...I have a star on the Vegas "Walk of Fame" because of my longterm success in the handicapping industry. There aren't any oddsmakers featured there. And, if one does eventually get a star, his will be a few steps behind mine. WAYNE ALLYN ROOT is always a few steps ahead of the oddsmakers!

I'm very much looking forward to the Big Dance's return on Thursday. I can't talk too specifically about my card because I have to project the information for my clients. You can expect a mix of favorites and dogs over the next four days, with a dramatic upset call or two. My Sweet 16 GAME OF THE YEAR will go Friday. Check the ad boxes for more details. Or, just make plans to be with me every day through the weekend so you get each and every top play.

Possible Mild Upset Calls:
Wisconsin over Syracuse Thursday
Louisville over Michigan State Thursday
Xavier over Baylor Friday

Possible BIG Upset Calls:
Cincinnati over Ohio State Thursday
Indiana over Kentucky Friday
Ohio over North Carolina Friday
NC State over Kansas Friday

Of course I could be on the favorite in many of those games, and I may have blowout indicators in the Marquette-Florida game Thursday that's rated near pick-em. I fully expect some of these games to miss the Vegas spread by at least 8-10 points in either direction. There are four-point favorites who can win by 10 or even 20 points. There are eight-point favorites who may not see the weekend.

Selections go up on this website a few hours before tipoff every day for credit card purchase. If you have any questions about which of my services best suits your individual needs...call my handicapping office at 1-877-766-8946. You can also ask about full season rates for the rest of the NBA when you call. If you love betting baseball...April and the start of the Major League season is just around the corner. This is a great time to talk business with the #1 man in the industry.

I've said all through March that this is the biggest betting month of the year in Las Vegas. March Madness is far from over. In many ways, it's just beginning! Think of all the drama last year that didn't really start until that second Thursday. All of this means that it's time for YOU to go to W.A.R. alongside WAYNE ALLYN ROOT!
