A Labor Of Love
A Labor of Love
By Wayne Allyn Root
All the work I've been doing preparing for the college football season is about to pay off with a Labor Day Weekend extravaganza that's going to kickoff the 2011 season in fine fashion.
I told you the other day about some of the keys I look for when picking opening week games. You can find some live dogs if you focus on the right motivational factors. You can find some great favorites if you focus on personnel mismatches at the point of attack. You can find some stunning blowouts if you focus on returning experience on the offensive line and at the skill positions.
It's been clear to me over my two decades plus here in Las Vegas, that the first weekend's lines are the softest all year in college football. Face it:
Oddsmakers can only put up guesses about how good or bad teams are going to be. Nobody's played yet! You have new quarterbacks all over the landscape....new coaches in new locales...and many meetings involving teams who don't often play each other. It's not like Utah State/Auburn or even South Florida/Notre Dame is an annual rivalry!
Professional wagerers aren't as up to speed now as they will be later in the season. That means bad numbers don't get corrected as quickly in the first week of September as they will be in October or November. Some don't get corrected at all.
The public still bets the wrong teams! Because the public bets on name recognition, focusing on TV games...we're still able to take advantage of opportunities that crop up in high profile matchups. I may have a big play on a TV dog this weekend just because the line is three points too high because of public perceptions regarding the favorite.
Some of you may be thinking you want to wait until next weekend to really get serious because you want to have regular season college and pro action at the same time. BIG MISTAKE! You don't pass when the lines are the softest just because it's inconvenient for your schedule! I'm THE KING OF LAS VEGAS because I step in big when the lines are softest. I'm very confident that you'll see that for yourselves if you sign up for my LABOR DAY KICKOFF WEEKEND.
Here's what's included in this package that costs just $99 here at the website:
FRIDAY NIGHT: I've studied TCU and Baylor very closely this summer because I believe their games are going to offer a lot of value throughout the campaign. I think this ESPN line is off by at least a touchdown.
SATURDAY: My OPENING WEEK GAME OF THE YEAR is in a matchup I've had circled since I started studying the schedules back in June. My side is poised for a breakout performance. The opponents aren't ready for what's about to hit them. I can't get any more specific than that because I don't want to inadvertently tip my hand a couple of days in advance. I can tell you this. The Vegas line is right where I want it, and it's not moving. Sign up for the Kickoff Weekend and also get my "David vs. Goliath" game as a bonus.
SUNDAY: My East-West Parlay will bring together the best options from Marshall-West Virginia in Big East country and SMU-Texas A&M down in the Southwest. Both of those games are on national TV so you can watch yourself win.
MONDAY: Everyone else sees Miami vs. Maryland on the schedule. I see "Al Golden vs. Randy Edsall" as the former coaches of Temple and Connecticut square off at their new universities. How is Miami dealing with its recent distractions? Is either coach in over his head trying to perform in a better conference? W.A.R has the answers...so W.A.R. has the winners!
Again, it's just $99 to sign up for the whole package here at the website. There will be day-by-day options online if you just want to play certain days...as well as baseball specials as I continue to tear up the pennant race games. I hope you swept the board with me Wednesday Night with my Billionaire play on Seattle over the L.A. Angels, and my Millionaire play on Tampa Bay over Texas as an underdog.
If you have any questions about my service, call 1-877-766-8946. It's ESSENTIAL that you get in the game this weekend because these are the softest college football lines we'll see all year! It's time for YOU to go to W.A.R. alongside WAYNE ALLYN ROOT!
