NIT CHAMPIONSHIP GAME: IT'S GEORGIA TECH VS. TCU THURSDAY NITE IN NYC ...

OUR 2017 MLB PREVIEW - TEAM-BY-TEAM OVER/UNDER WINS PLUS PREDICTIONS GALORE INCLUDING THIS YEAR'S WORLD SERIES WINNER!!!

The big-wigs in Las Vegas have spoken and here's how they lay out the Odds to Win it All in terms of this year's College Basketball Championship Game (all prices based on $100 per-pay wagers):

TEAMODDS TO WIN IT ALL
North Carolina-115
GonzagaEven
Oregon+ 350
South Carolina+ 550

In case you're wondering, this year's Final Four teams enter weekend play with a composite pointspread won/loss record of 10-5-1 for a .667 winning rate, but that's nowhere near last year when the quartet of Villanova, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Syracuse charged into the 2016 Final Four at 14-2 versus the vig.

Lastly, you always wonder in these "dome" games whether the shooting percentages will be down or not - maybe it's an old wives tale or maybe it's not been as big a factor in recent years but keep in mind the totals prices for Saturday's games look like this:

Gonzaga (- 6.5) vs South Carolina - totals price of 138
North Carolina (- 5) vs. Oregon - totals price of 151.5

NIT TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
Madison Square Garden - New York City, NY
GEORGIA TECH (21-15) vs. TCU (23-15) - 8 p.m. ET, ESPN

Well, what do you know?

There are a pair of power conference teams still standing as we get to this year's NIT Championship Game as the ACC's Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets zoom into this tilt against the TCU Horned Frogs with both clubs fresh off semifinal round wins/covers.

Georgia Tech's workmanlike 76-61 win/cover against 3-point underdog Cal State-Bakersfield featured a 22-point outing by G Josh Okogie along with a double-double from F Ben Lammers (15 points, 11 rebounds) as G-Tech turned over the Roadrunners some 15 times and never let its foot off the gas pedal.

Meanwhile, TCU roared back from a 29-19 deficit to club 2.5-point pup UCF 68-53 as ever-improving Kenrich Williams scored 12 of his 14 points after halftime while he pulled down 12 boards and added 7 assists as the Horned Frogs truly blitzed an overmatched Knights' squad.

Gotta believe that 3.5-point fav TCU will get its NIT title here providing slender big man Vlad Brodziansky (team-best 18 points versus UCF) can make that medium-range jumper that is often hard to stop.

TCU would like to pick up the pace when it has momentum on its side but head coach Jamie Dixon's major mantra here is to hold the Jackets below 40 percent shooting and make 'em take long treys. Dixon never could get the "brass ring" as the Pitt coach all those years in the NCAAs but maybe this is "his time".

OUR 2017 MLB PREVIEW

Okay, so curses be damned now that the Chicago Cubs have their first World Series title in 108 years but now everyone 'round the North Side of Chitown in wondering if this club can repeat ... what, you're going all greedy now on us, Cubbie fans?

The truth of the matter is there's gonna be a major power struggle among the elite in the National League this year with the Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, Washington Nationals and New York Mets likely in the forefront to make it to the NLCS while the American League could be a wide-open affair with the AL East one of the most interesting divisions ever ... Boston's the favorite but you're gonna be able to separate Toronto, Baltimore, the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay from one another? Good luck.

Here's the team-by-team "over/under" wins totals for all 30 MLB team (again, based on $100 per-play wagers):
