Report: NCAA looks into Tennessee basketball program

Knoxville, TN (Sports Network) - The NCAA has reportedly looked into the Tennessee men's basketball program as part of an overall investigation into the school's athletics program.

The Knoxville News Sentinel reported Thursday, citing an anonymous source, that the NCAA has interviewed head coach Bruce Pearl and associate head coach Tony Jones about possible violations.

The report said the investigation involves impermissible phone calls to recruits. It added that the school has not gotten a letter of inquiry from the NCAA.
